Pipe Works Services, Inc. recently completed a job in Metchuen, N.J. at a townhome development using Perma-Liner equipment. The owners were experiencing backed-up sewers and major clogs. Pipe Works technicians jack-hammered the basement floors (approximately 3’ x 1’) of four units to expose the 4″ sewer line. The team then performed a hydro Jet to scour the sewer line and used a Maxi Miller Picote machine to prepare the four lateral sewer lines for CIPP lining and installation of cleanouts in each.
The team lined 100’ of sewer line with 6” liner, which was steam cured and pressurized in place, as well as lining the 35’ in front of the remaining two townhomes with a 6” liner. An internal epoxy coating was applied to seal the laterals where at 4” laterals meet the 6” line to guaranty roots will not infiltrate the reinforced sewer line.
The owners were pleased with the work Pipe Works performed and have not had any issues since completion.
